Vietnam: My First Tour

I was in hhc(recon)2/14th infantry 25 division, Chu Chi, Vietnam, 1966-1967. I was a staff sargeant with the recon platoon, squad leader for the rifle squad, then later the platoon sargeant.

Vietnam: My Second Tour

I was with hhc 2/47th infantry 9th division as a sargeant first class and platoon sargeant of the recon platoon in 1969.

Awards and Merits Received

CIB (Combat Infantryman's Badge); the Silver Star; three Bronze Stars with V/device; three Purple Hearts; Good Conduct medal; National Defense Medal; Vietnam Service Medal; Vietnam Campaign Medal with two oak leaf clusters.
